Stirling engine desk fan

Software: FreeCAD 1.1.1
Modeller: Vesa Lampinen
Source: Model Engineering website

This assembly needed some alterations and extra thinking. For example, you can’t do a crankshaft as a one part in a real life. While assembling the fan, one connecting rod was 0,25 millimetres misaligned and thus nothing was moveable.

A technical drawing didn’t include a fan blade guard, but there were threaded holes for it though. The guard is designed and made by the modeller.

The assembly consists of 12 subassemblies and 58 different parts.
